I studied art in school and settled on stained glass as the media that I loved most. During my 20s and early 30s I built large stained glass installations. Unfortunately, the processes of stained glass didn\'t lend themselves well to following my husband around the country so I switched to painting. I studied painting at Monserrat School of Art in Beverly, MA. and then life drawing at the Guild of Boston Artists Gammel Studios with Robert Cormier who I admired and appreciated greatly! At the same time, I attended plein air oil classes with David Curtis on Cape Ann and am still enjoying his tutelege and friendship. I have several young painting students. Their energy, imagination, willingness to try anything, and their questions are inspiring ,motivating and lots of fun! In my lovely big studio/gallery, I\'m ecstatically happy; free to push oil colors around, dance, eat chocolate, drink coffee , study and be uninhibited! Painting, for me, is rewarding (most of the time) and self-expressive! It\'s a necessary passion!
