Anne Ritchie

Anne Weathers Ritchie, a native of Peterborough, NH. has lived in Maine since 1982. Educated at Middlebury College and le Sorbonne in Paris, France, she returned to New England as Admissions Director at The Williston Northampton School. The years on that campus sparked a desire to assist high school students in need of challenge or a change in their secondary school experiences. Anne became the first educational consultant in Maine. She has served on the Board of Trustees of several educational institutions and camps, and continues her work in assisting families to find the right place for their teen age children. Over the past ten years she has divided her time between locations in Maine, New England and various locales throughout the Florida Keys and the Caribbean. Her passion for photography is with her always, shooting the everyday and the extraordinary, wherever she goes. She has been a Waypoint Fellow, is the producer of the INNOCENT SOULS: VIETNAM 1968 which is currently on exhibit at Cornell University. Anne’s work is currently on exhibit in Maine and has been featured in ZEST MAINE magazine and ECHOES, the magazine of The White Mountain School. Living most of the year in Freeport, ME, she is an avid kayaker, ocean swimmer, gardener and student of yoga. The influence of her love of the water and the rich earth, coupled with the life that comes from them, is certainly apparent in the images she frames in her photographic work.
