My paintings are about beauty that comes with age or flawed patina. Beauty which is imperfect and transient. The signs present as asymmetry, roughness or austerity and often the subject is nature. "Who can be so lucky? Who comes to the lake for water and sees the reflection of the Moon?" Rumi I have studied with many teachers, in the U.S. and internationally, and work in watercolor, acrylic and encaustic. My most recent teacher was Antonio Masi, President US Watercolor Society.
