42 Massachusetts Avenue
South Portland, ME 04106

Kerrin loves plein air painting with a palette knife using oils. She regularly layers up her paintings into a thick imposto. Dragging the paint across the surface, creating an often unexpected result. Working towards simplification, she tries to capture an essence or a "feeling" for what she's observing and experiencing out in nature. Always working on color exploration and capturing the temperature and light in the air. Kerrin is a fine artist, teacher and illustrator from South Portland, Maine. She received a BFA in art education from The University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth and she received her MFA in Illustration from The Academy of Art University in San Fransisco. She teaches painting and drawing at Maine College of Art, and shows her work regularly through Ocean House Gallery in Cape Elizabeth. She has also create many illustration designs, most recognizable, beer labels for Lawson's Finest Liquids based in Vermont.
