Description: One of a series of photographs taken in the photo impressionism style. Freeman Patterson, photographer and writer, has described photo impressionism as "the depiction in photography of emotion or character by details intended to achieve a vividness or effectiveness more by invoking subjective and sensory impressions than by recreating an objective reality." For me, the intentionally blurred images express the lack of clarity, uncertainty, and confusion associated with grief and loss.
