Andrea Timm
Windham, Maine

Andrea Timm is a Maine native and resides on Sebago Lake in Maine. She has always had an attraction to the arts which has shown up in many forms. Enjoying jewelry making, cooking, fashion, painting & drawing, music, and playing bass guitar in the Don Campbell Band. It was in 2011 that she picked up a watercolor class with friends that started her on her way to the magic of creating with paint. Andrea has studied at MECA&Design and under Judith Kinsman and Dietlind Vander Schaaf and enjoys watercolor and encaustic (molten wax) painting. Challenging herself with architecture, ocean scapes, animals, people, abstracts, or whatever it is that sparks her interest and also working with others on commissions. She realizes all the beauty surrounding us in the world and painting has given her new eyes to see deeper and more meaningfully. Andrea feels that art is a way to connect with others. A particular photograph, painting, or song can transport a person to a specific place or feeling in time. Andrea has been showing her pieces around Maine and has been widely received. She has a studio on Rt. 1 in Scarborough, Maine (studio visits by appointment). Her work has shown up in many doctor's offices, chiropractor's offices, salons, private homes all over the country, several annual auctions and charity events. Her encaustic pieces are displayed at Salt Water Grille restaurant in South Portland, Maine.
