After a career as a photo-illustrator I moved on to watercolors, to interpreting what I see. I paint both on location and from my photos. The voice of my painter grandson is always in mind, “It’s a painting; you can do anything." I paint daily and post to my blog, even if it's merely a sketch. Many years ago I minored in art at the University of Maine. I've taken watercolor workshops with Susan Abbott, David Dewey, and Dewitt Hardy. I’m a signature member of the Vermont Watercolor Society, and a member in Art Guild of the Kennebunks, and Plein Air Painters of Maine. I'm fortunate to have had a successful career in children's books, illustrated with my photography, more than forty-five garnering many honors and awards. I painted a commission for the USA Olympic Curling Team, 2018 Olympics, featured in the Maine Sunday Telegram. I live in Maine. Works in private collections: US, Canada, Iceland and Switzerland.
