A graduate of Nelson Shank's Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, Carolyn paints in the realist tradition focusing on what she finds beautiful around her. Portraiture, still life and wild life are common themes in her work, described with attention to color and reverence for the natural world. Carolyn lives and works in Nobleboro, Maine. Before turning to painting full time, Carolyn worked in the Non-Profit sector. She holds a BA from George Washington University and a MA from American University. She has shown in galleries in NJ, PA, NM and Maine, among them Avery Gallery, Freeman Gallery, Ellarslie Museum, Manitou Gallery, Gleason Gallery and Maine Art Gallery Wiscassett.
