David Costello

David Costello studied at the San Francisco Art Institute, the San Francisco Art Academy and the Carmel Art Institute. He has been exhibiting his work in Europe and the US since 1972, winning numerous awards. David works primarily in soft pastel and presently makes his home in Freeport, Maine. “I am primarily a studio artist. While some of my inspiration comes from the world around us, the majority comes from within. My work flows out of time spent in stillness and silence. My focus is the longing of the human heart and my passion is to give voice to what cannot be said in words - to reveal what cannot be seen with the eye, but with the heart.”
