Elizabeth Chapman - architect and painter Acrylic on velum I've been drawings and painting for years but only in recently in this loose method. Every morning, I look at how sunlight comes into my own house. I choose something ordinary which seems extraordinary in the moment, and drawing upon years of experience rendering and putting forms in perspective, I choose a view and a composition. My daily painting practice is one 6” by 6” acrylic painting. I've given up careful line drawings in favor of carefully looking at color, how it sets the planes of a form in the space around it.
