Linda Rowell-Kelley

A lifelong student of art, Linda studied sculpture, drawing and painting at Portland School of Art, now MECA and has lived in Maine since 1969. A prolific artist, she has studied and painted on the coast of Maine for many years. Linda works “outside the box” making spiritual and sometimes political statements through art. She is a Reiki practitioner and sees art as one of the great healers. Her work is a mix of the seen and unseen and she walks the line between realistic subjects, Impressionism and abstraction. She has a love for painting outside plein air. Her work can be found at the Meetinghouse Art Gallery in Freeport, and in restaurants and galleries on Mount Desert Island where she has spent most of her life.
