Madeline Corson
Freeport, Maine

Maddy Corson (she/her) is a 19-year-old artist based in Freeport, Maine. Raised on Littlejohn Island in Casco Bay, Maddy began doodling in preschool. Since then, Maddy has not set down her paintbrush. At age 13, she enrolled in painting lessons with local artist Alice Ingraham, from whom Maddy learned oil painting. Maddy often blends Maine landscapes with scenes from her inner psyche, balancing the intensity of the natural world with a bit of whimsy. Currently, Maddy is a sophomore at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. When not studying or painting, she works as a guide at the Yale University Art Gallery, and as an assistant at the Yale Law School's Human Rights Clinic. Maddy plans to pursue a double major in Ethics, Politics, and Economics and Studio Art. In addition to painting, Maddy hopes to perhaps become president.
