Nicole Nappi

nicnappi2735@yahoo.com
Buxton, Maine

Nicole is a self-taught artist, born and raised in Northern California, and was artistic throughout her childhood. After high school, she enlisted and served 4 years in the US Navy. Then life happened as it does... work, marriage, children… and art took a back seat for nearly 30 years before she began painting again.  Nicole moved to Maine in 2001 when her spouse received orders to Naval Air Station Brunswick. Although she has lived all over the country, she feels especially blessed to call Maine home. Nicole finds inspiration in the beauty of Maine’s working waterfronts, coastal communities, the beautiful Maine landscape, nature, and occasionally a penguin because, well, they’re her favorite! She participates in several art festivals annually, such as the Brunswick Outdoor Art Festival, where she won 1st place in the “painting” category last year (2021), and the 2021 IGOR Fall Salon Online Exhibition with inclusion in the November 2021 issue of American Art Collector magazine for her piece “Green Lobster Buoys.” Nicole is a member of the International Guild of Realism (IGOR), Meetinghouse Arts Gallery in Freeport, and Saltwater Artists Gallery in New Harbor.
