FINDING ME. There isn't one particular moment I can remember that sparked my interest in art but rather several small happenings that accumulated over time. As the years have gone by there's been a persistent desire to continue with my art. In the beginning I did pen and ink drawings recording old buildings before they were disappeared. I moved on to watercolor and then oil. Painting Maine landscapes, seascapes, farms, mountains, local landmarks, places with a past, landscapes that are diminishing over time. Plein air painting with a palette knife is my current passion. I love the connection it provides to the landscape. At this point in my artistic journey I'm open to all possibilities in my search for my own expression and all Maine has to offer.
