I have always loved to create: quilts, baskets, gardens, bread....but after I retired from teaching I turned my efforts to painting, and it is my passion. I enjoy the challenge of creating an overall sense of a place or a moment. I love nothing more than the sun flooding a scene, streaming through the trees, reflecting on water, or catching the edges of a flower. Maine gives us so much beauty that the possibilities are endless. Since I most often work from photographs, you may see me shamelessly snapping photos along the road, beside the harbor, and at Winslow, Wolfe's Neck Park, or Pineland.
