I mostly work with cold wax and oils as this medium allows me to use a palette knife and create interesting texture and layers, as well as transparency and depth to oil paint. This leads to a very rich feeling in the artwork. I tend to paint abstract landscapes and abstract forms and gestural marks to convey a feeling and inspire curiosity and imagination. Directly applying layers, combined with digging into previous layers, evokes a sense of history and mystery.
