Tricia Granzier grew up near the Connecticut coast before living in and around Boston and finally landing in coastal Maine in 1999. Having explored and closely observed coastal life and the four changing seasons all her life, it is not surprising that the New England coast, and in particular Maine, are the inspiration for most of her work. Tricia tries to capture the beauty, color and detail of everyday life along the coast. This may be through the rendering of one, or few, objects, such as a single sea urchin or shell, a pile of beach rocks, or a single wave; or it might be through the broader scope of a landscape or seascape. The saltwater marsh near her home is another favorite subject. Tricia currently paints in both oil and acrylic. Her work has been juried into several Maine art shows, including the 2018 \\\"Rock \\\'n\\\' Wave\\\" show at Kefauver Studio & Gallery in Damariscotta, the 2017 Yarmouth Art Festival, and the 2016 \\\"Flowers\\\" and \\\"Artists\\\' Choice\\\" Exhibitions at River Arts in Damariscotta, ME. She has participated for the past three years in an annual group show at Skillins in Falmouth, ME and has had a number of solo shows at various locations throughout the Greater Portland area. Tricia has done numerous commissioned pieces and her artwork has been sold throughout the United States.
