I like to paint from life, even when it isn't plein air. 4th in my "window series." This was the view outside my sunroom on a bitter cold February day. But the amaryllis bulb would have no idea, as the warm light of the sun coaxed it toward blooming. And The Maine Woods does reside on that table!
