"Shallow Tide"
Media: Handmade paper and mixed media on panel.
Dimensions: 12"h x 24"w
Price: 250
Bonding torn papers that I've made with natural fibers (flax, abaca hemp, seaweed and other natural fibers) I form seaside images with the papers and then use acrylics to finish a view of tidal movements showing rocky ridges and sandy transitions of a beach walk or a remembrance of a quiet place.
Stone, Sand, and Sea
Media: Handmade paper and mixed media
Dimensions: 18"'h x 36"w
Price: 450
Starting with handmade paper I've made with seaweed, various fibers and natural dyes, I work with the ripped paper bonded to a toned canvas. Adding acrylic paint to set the image in a natural environment, I imagine scenes at the ocean edge that I translate into calm places to sooth those who pause.
